For the past eight years, I’ve immersed myself in Rally, exploring its signs, courses, rules, and trials. This journey highlighted gaps in traditional teaching methods, inspiring me to develop a holistic approach to Rally instruction at SDDSC, grounded in training, behavior science, and sports psychology.

I am the creator of the MyRallyCoach app, designed to enhance the Rally experience for teams at all levels. My training philosophy embraces science-based, positive reinforcement techniques, focusing on motivational play with treats, toys, and fun to build confidence and success. I avoid correction-based methods that can undermine enjoyment and trust.

Since 1997, I’ve participated in dog sports with Basset Hounds, including Conformation, Rally, Obedience, Tracking, Scent Work, and Field Trials. My proudest achievement is with Vinnie, who became the second Basset Hound to earn the Rally Master Title and one of few to achieve the Versatility Master title from the Basset Hound Club of America.

While not formally certified, I continually expand my knowledge through classes, seminars, and research. I’m excited to share my passion for Rally and help you and your dog thrive as a confident, connected team.
